(Nuremberg, 2008-05-21) Due to organizational reasons, registrations for SPICE 2008 will not be accepted after Wednesday for the free event and after Friday for the conference. Registration for the free event on Monday afternoon, May 26, will end Wednesday, May 21, 14:00 hours, local time. Registrations after that time will not be handled any more. Registration for the conference and tutorials will end Friday, May 23, 14:00 hours, too. After that time, please call the local organizing office and ask for registration. Registering on-site for the conference on Monday through Wednesday is not possible. You need to register beforehand in order to get access to the conference and/or tutorials. |

(Nuremberg, 2008-05-10) The registration for the free workshop on Enterprise SPICE and Banking SPICE on Monday, May 26, 13:30 to 17:15 hours, has started!
This workshop will provide an opportunity for those interested in participating in these initiatives to meet and discuss with the International Project Leaders about how they can get involved and contribute to the work. The International Project leaders will present the goals, objectives and work plans for the initiatives together with the project organization and collaborative development environment for the projects. If you are interested to participate, you need to pre-register for the workshop as places are limited. There is no charge to attend the workshop!

(Nuremberg, 2008-04-06) The complete program for SPICE 2008 is now online. Information about the tutorials, workshops, kenyotes and presentations can be found on this website now!
Five tutorials and two workshops to choose from on Monday; four keynotes and 29 presentations in three parallel tracks in nine industry and technical sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday; presenters from 14 countries and four continents; a High Maturity Session and Panel Discussion on Wednesday - SPICE 2008 is again the most international and the largest SPICE conference in 2008!
A "High Maturity" session on Wednesday afternoon will showcase the only three organizations, all from India, that have achieved (or are expecting to achieve) ISO/IEC 15504 (SPICE) Organizational Maturity Level 5. The session will be chaired by Alec Dorling, the international ISO/IEC 15504 and SPICE project manager.
In the session, Wipro Technologies will talk about Sustaining High Maturity practices in High Growth Environment, KPIT Cummins about Quantitative Project Management and the Role of Process Consultants at KPIT Cummins, and Satyam Computer Services about the Drivers and Enablers of High Maturity Practices at Satyam.

SPICE 2008 conference has published the keynotes that will be held at the conference. The keynote speakers in 2008 are Mark Paulk (Carnegie Mellon University), Linda Ibrahim (International Project Leader for Enterprise SPICE), Francois Coallier (Président/Chairman ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC7) and Edoardo Sivera (Head of Software Engineering Team, Fiat Group Automobiles (FGA)).
Mark Paulk will talk about "Understanding High Maturity Practices", Linda Ibrahim about "SPICE'ing Up Your Enterprise", Francois Coallier about "What does Engineering mean in 'Software Engineering'" and Edoardo Sivera's keynote is about "Automotive SPICE® Assessment Experiences: An Overview of Fiat Group Automobiles Software Methodologies".

SPICE 2008 conference has published the Call for Papers. Papers and presentations related to the topics of process assessment,
improvement and capability determination are invited for the
conference. A special focus will also be given to the application and
improvement of certain key development processes, such as Testing,
